VTA Networks

The VTA has established a number of networks to promote sector-wide collaboration among the staff at our member institutions. Networks meet regularly to share knowledge and resources, collaboratively problem-solve, work towards best practice in their specialised areas, and develop Network approaches to key challenges and opportunities.

Please note that VTA Networks are exclusive to the staff of VTA’s Member organisations and are therefore not open to external audiences. Furthermore, in some cases Member Institute’s will appoint a specific delegate for each Network.

Attended by managers and/or executives in academic or leadership roles, compliance, innovation, and/or those with an interest in HE and Applied Research. The Network explores and provides advice on activities to build applied research culture, showcase applied research and innovation in the TAFE Network and facilitate collaboration, with the aim being to better capture and support applied research and innovative projects as a means to advance the sector.

Attended by managers and directors from business development, commercial, and jobs and skills centre portfolios. The Network meets to share information on business development, and tender and funding opportunities.

Attended by Copyright Liaison Officers. The Network meets to collaboratively share information and issues, and receive updates to copyright obligations and the monitoring of copyright use across the network.

Attended by Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leads. This Community of Practice meets to discuss challenges and successes in the DEI space and share resources and information on upcoming events and activations.

Attended by senior level staff who have educational responsibility for the delivery of teaching and learning programs. The Network focuses on strategic educational excellence and innovation across the TAFE Network.

Attended by HR Managers, Directors, and Executive Directors. The Network encourages collaboration and the sharing of information and practices.

Attended by Chief Information Officers (or equivalent) or appropriate delegates. The Network focuses on sector-wide ICT leadership for operational excellence and efficiency on key ICT priorities.

Attended by Marketing Managers and supporting team members. The Network meets to share campaign insights and work towards greater sector collaboration.

Attended by those in senior roles in international recruitment, business development, marketing, admissions, TNE, student support, and quality and compliance processes.

The Network aims to:

  • Facilitate collaborative opportunities conduct research that supports TAFE international programs
  • Facilitate communication and networking among members, as well as best-practice, information sharing and professional development
  • Provide a cohesive representative voice for members on policy, reform and cross-sectoral projects. 

VATBM is an independent association for senior corporate and business leaders in TAFE. The Network has specialist groups designed for staff from various business sections of TAFE including procurement, asset management, payroll, debt management, fraud and corruption.
