Do your research
By applying to study a metro-regional pathway, you are committing to the full program of study. This includes a commitment to relocate to the regional city after completing the first qualification in Melbourne.
You should carefully research the study destinations to make sure you are well informed about what to expect. Make sure you how much it will cost to live and study in both Melbourne and Mildura. Do some research on where you might live (shared accommodation, an apartment, on campus), public transport, the weather and population.
Course and education provider (TAFE or university) information is also very important. Read about the campus, facilities and services, your units of study, and the expectations on you as a student.
You should also be aware of your obligations as a student visa holder.
Our resources page will help you with your research.
