Dan has worked in the education sector for over 30 years with the majority spent in the vocational education and training sector after commencing his teaching career in the secondary education system.
He has extensive experience in education delivery and in senior leadership roles in vocational and higher education operations in TAFE (both standalone and Dual Sector University). Most recently he was Director of Foundation Skills and Pathways at Bendigo Kangan Institute and prior to this at RMIT as Deputy Dean of Vocational Health, Sciences and Trades, and at William Angliss Institute as Associate Director of VET. He started as a VE trainer there and moved into senior management positions in program delivery and international education.
Dan has a passion for leadership and a collaborative approach to problem solving. He joins the VTA with significant knowledge of the operational challenges faced in the TAFE sector and will strive to advocate on behalf of TAFE and Dual Sector Universities.
Dan’s qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Education.
Judith has worked in International Education and the vocational sector more broadly for over 30 years with experience working overseas on large vocational education projects in Africa, South Asia, South East Asia and North Asia including China. Her work has covered, capacity building through aid and development projects, transnational delivery of Australian qualifications and skills assessments of workers for both temporary and permanent migration.
Judith recently joined the VTA after working for the Victoria Government where she managed a range of international portfolio areas including, business development including the TAFE Victoria Offshore Consortium project, Study Melbourne destination marketing and student initiatives focusing on enhancing the international student experience.
Rebecca is a skilled Project Coordinator and Instructional Designer with over 17 years’ experience coordinating projects, designing and developing high-quality learning materials and assessments for online, blended and face to face delivery.
She has worked across VET, HE, credentials and short course programs, adding a creative touch and quality lens to all projects. She is a team player who enjoys working in collaborative and virtual team environments.
Marlene is a Human Resources professional with over 25 years of HR generalist experience within the professional services industry including the TAFE sector and other government organisations.
Marlene holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (Deakin University); a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (RMIT); Cert IV in TAE; and Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
Marlene’s expertise includes legislation compliance, HR best practice, policy and procedure development and review, and project management, facilitation and coordination.
