The VTA assists Institutes with specific issues and provides workforce relations advice to develop employee relations strategies. Related services include advice on staff contracts and staff development, strategic advice on industrial relations matters, and assistance in negotiating with unions and representing member organisations with unfair dismissal claims and industrial disputes.
Regular HR Network meetings are part of the Association's professional development program. These events are designed to meet the individual needs and concerns of our Members.
A Manual for Best Practice in Employment Relations provides Institute Boards, CEOs, human resources staff and line managers with an invaluable tool to implement best practice workplace relations/industrial relations practices.
In March 2016, the Manual was updated to reflect legislative changes.
